2 new sealed federal indictments!

The federal grand jury in Guam has handed down two new criminal indictments today. Both cases have been filed under seal.

This means the types of cases these are, who they are against, and what they are about cannot be accessed by the public.

Typically, following an indictment the U.S. Attorney’s office will secure an arrest warrant against the criminal defendant named in the indictment. Marshals then will seek out the defendant and arrest that person and bring that person before the court for a first appearance. Those proceedings will be off limits to the public if the case is sealed.

These two new cases are the first handed down by the grand jury in weeks in Guam.
