FEMA processing rate reportedly only 15-minutes at Guam Congress Building

The Guam Congress Building is serving as a Registration Intake Center (RIC) to people applying for Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) assistance, according to a news release from Guam Legislature executive director Joseph R. San Agustin.

And as of this morning, there was no wait to be seen, according to Speaker Therese Terlaje. According to the speaker, the FEMA point of contact informed her the location has some of the fastest processing intake staff, with residents in and out in only 15 minutes.

“FEMA representatives will be at the Congress Building from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m every day this week to assist individuals who do not have accessibility to a computer or internet access or who may have difficulty navigating the online registration application,” the news release from Mr. San Agustin states.

Interested people applying for FEMA assistance are asked to have their social security number, banking information and routing numbers readily available before meeting with FEMA representatives.

All information provided to FEMA is kept confidential.

“The Guam Legislature remains committed to serving the people of Guam and is grateful for the opportunity to assist during this challenging time,” the news release states. “God Bless Guam!”
