Joint Region Marianas, the military command run from Guam and that covers our region, has announced the elevation of the Force Protection Condition to Bravo in Guam, according to this public post by JRM 20 minutes ago.

According to the Defense Logistics Agency, level Bravo “applies when an increased or more predictable threat of terrorist activity exists.”

Governor’s communications director Krystal Paco-San Agustin said “This morning, the governor was notified by Admiral Mietus on the heightened security measures and their impact on the Trusted Traveler Program. He assured the governor that there are no specific threats to our region at this time. We remain in close communication with Joint Region Marianas and continue to monitor the situation closely.”

“World events, most recently the Israeli-Iranian conflict, prompted the changes,” she confirmed.
