BREAKING NEWS: FIRST FEDERAL INDICTMENT OF THE YEAR FILED TODAY IN GUAM

The federal government today has secured its first criminal indictment of 2025, according to the U.S. court system’s archive of cases filed in the Guam federal court.

The indictment is sealed, meaning the public cannot access information on whom the federal grand jury indicted, for what alleged crimes, or even whether the target of the federal investigation would be arrested.

While it has taken unusually long for the U.S. Attorney to pursue an indictment this calendar year compared to previous years, there have been 32 criminal magistrate cases (typically warrants) filed this year. Warrant 25-MJ-32 was signed by a federal judge today, according to the archive system.

Out of the 32 magistrate cases, all but four remain sealed, including today’s magistrate case.

Kandit has been tracking the federal archive system in Guam since October following reports of federal investigation into high ranking government officials and parties closely connected to them involving federal Pandemic Unemployment Aid fraud.

We do not know whether today’s sealed indictment or any of the 28 sealed magistrate cases have anything to do with the highly anticipated prosecution in the PUA fraud case.
