More than 41 percent of customer demand for power has been restored to full service, according to an update today from the Guam Power Authority.

GPA also has energized the water and wastewater systems in several places including Route 16 near Fort Juan Muna, parts of Piti, Mangilao near the University of Guam, parts of Agat, and areas affected by deep wells.

GPA’s key objectives for today are to energize water wells near the Yigo fire station and the old amusement park, energize the Umatac Substation in order to begin power restoration in the south, energize Navy Radio Barrigada Substation, energize Harmon Industrial Park, energize water wells in Dededo and on to Route 3, and to continue work on urgent needs throughout the island.
