The following comes from a news release from Ginger Cruz for Congress:
Ginger Cruz, candidate for Guam’s Delegate to the U.S. House of Representatives, is honored to announce that she has received the endorsement of the Senior United States Senator from Hawaii, Mazie Hirono. Known for her dedication to Pacific security, Senator Hirono is one of the most respected voices in the Senate on defense and veterans’ issues.
Cruz and Senator Hirono have known each other since 2001, when Hirono ran for Governor of Hawaii. As a member of the Senate Armed Services, Veterans AMairs, Judiciary, Energy, and Small Business Committees, Senator Hirono has long championed initiatives that impact Guam and the broader Pacific.
“Ginger Cruz has proven experience with the Department of Defense, the State Department, and other key federal entities,” Senator Hirono remarked. “She understands the importance of peace and progress in the Pacific while also prioritizing our national security. Ginger’s values and dedication make her the right choice to represent the people of Guam, and I am proud to endorse her.”

Cruz expressed her deep appreciation for the senator’s endorsement: “Senator Hirono’s support is incredibly meaningful. Her commitment to Pacific security and Guam’s future aligns perfectly with my own vision. I look forward to working closely with her and other leaders to make sure Guam’s needs are fully represented.”
This endorsement underscores Cruz’s dedication to advocating for Guam and highlights her vision of building a strong, secure future for the island.
[Editor’s note: Kandit previously has criticized Ms. Hirono for advocating in favor of a shipping monopoly in the Mariana Islands that favors a company headquartered in her state]

Same Ms Hirono that was featured right here on Kanditnews where she was exposed for trying to directly crippling our precious communities in Guam and the CNMI. Ms Cruz needs to be transparent and upfront if she’s receiving campaign contributions from Matson. If so, so much for honest and the so called “dedication to advocating for Guam” and her “vision of building a strong, secure future for the islands.” Troy, can you do a second interview and confront Ms Cruz if she has any issues getting endorse by someone who directly tried to purge APL from shipping critical and essential supplies to Guam and CNMI so Matson can return to its monopoly and astronomic prices.

Please do not let our island become swindled like Hawaii. Right now, Hawaii, especially Hono, is a mess like LA. I am afraid Hawaii is not a shining example of where we want to be and should actually learn from where they came up short. I mean, how many “Hawaiians” are actually still in Hawaii?
