Republican Senator Tom Fisher is calling on his party to condemn racist comments made during former President Trump’s recent rally at Madison Square Garden. During that rally held this past week, comedian Tony Hinchcliffe called Puerto Rico a “floating pile of garbage.”
Mr. Hinchcliffe also made racial slurs against Black Americans. However, it was the racist remark against Puerto Ricans that has galvanized political backlash against Mr. Trump, who took the stage after his supporter and did not condemn the racism. The reason, according to multiple national news outlets, is the high number of Puerto Ricans who live and vote in swing states like Pennsylvania, Georgia, and Arizona. These are among three of seven states whose voting outcome are believed to be the determining factor of who becomes president.
Mr. Fisher, in a news release, condemned the divisive comments. He wrote, “U.S. territories, from Puerto Rico to Guam, are vital to our nation’s identity, strength, and diversity. Such remarks are not only offensive to the people of Puerto Rico but also raise questions about how the Trump campaign and those who support it view Guam.”
“Do Republicans believe that Guam, too, is merely a ‘floating pile of garbage’? I trust that they do not, but words need to be backed by action,” Mr. Fisher emphasized. “It’s time for unity and respect, not rhetoric that seeks to divide us.”
Kandit has asked Republican Party of Guam chairman Shawn Gumataotao whether the local GOP will condemn the remarks. He has yet to reply to the message we sent to him.
“The party must be clear: it does not endorse or support rhetoric that degrades Americans.” Mr. Fisher said. “I call on the Guam Republican Party to affirm its support for our island, its people, and the unique role Guam plays in the American family.”

Trump never said those things; Hinchcliffe did.

But Trump approved. I noticed that most white americans here and there are voting against her skin color.

Most white Americans…huh? When did you become a bigot? When did you only start seeing a person’s skin color? I suspect your hubris and ego will not allow you to be honest with yourself nor us here. Also, Hinchcliffe’s joke was actually about a floating garbage pile in the ocean, just so happens to be true and funny that he named PR as this pile. Insensitive, yes. Funny, yes. Crass, yes. Said by Trump, NO.

Because context matters, Tom, I included the entire joke here:
“Free speech is under attack people. I host a show and each week I get updates on words we’re allowed to use and not use anymore. It’s happening right now the past few years. It’s a real thing.
And, you know, used to be able to tell people to Google stuff. My mom’s a boomer in the state of Ohio. And there’s no convincing her of anything. She’s eaten a cat. She’s eaten a dog. They’re eating the pets up there. It is absolutely wild times. It really, really is.
And, you know, there’s a lot going on. Like, I don’t know if you guys know this, but there’s literally a floating island of garbage in the middle of the ocean right now. Yeah. I think it’s called Puerto Rico.”
Tom Fisher has TDS. He is running as a Republican but offers none of the typical conservative policies. I hope he loses and we can go back to having one more useless lawyer on island that isn’t busy messing things up for hard working people that try to call Guam home. Laughable Tom, just laughable.
Is the Democratic party gonna condemn Kamala Harris for disenfranchising 14million voters? Will the Democratic party just sit by and condone the coronation and not selection for Kamala? Now, there’s some real new Troy.
