Kandit received source information this morning that Guam Memorial Hospital administrator Lillian Perez-Posadas had spoken with the governor about retiring. We asked the governor’s communications director for a response. The following statement is from Krystal Paco-San Agustin:
“Governor Lou Leon Guerrero has been working closely with Administrator Lillian Perez-Posadas on her intent to retire from GMH. While that plan is in motion, the Governor has also asked that she remain onboard while a structured search for her replacement is finalized by the GMH Board of Trustees and the HR Committee. Additionally, a consultant, who is already engaged with GMH, has also contributed recommendations to guide GMH in identifying the skills needed in a Hospital Administrator. In conformance with such recommended qualifications, a successful administrator will possess strong hospital leadership experience, a solid grasp of healthcare operations and finance, and the ability to collaborate closely with all levels of medical and administrative staff.”
