Where Is Jim Moylan As Country Crumbles Before the World’s Eyes?

[On Tuesday] I called Delegate James Moylan’s office in Washington, D.C.  I wanted to tell him that I was concerned (and not in a Susan Collins kind of way) that President Trump has pardoned 1,600 people who attacked the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. 200 of whom actually assaulted police officers.

I also wanted to ask him how he feels about Trump shutting down the U.S. Agency for International Development.  I was also curious to hear his suggestion on how to provide  millions of meals to Guam’s school children after Mr. Trump eliminates the Department of Education.  We could have bake sales and car washes every day and still not come up with coins necessary to do it. Also FEMA is going away but then that agency never helped Guam much anyway, did it?

If Mr. Moylan were in his office and taking calls from constituents, I would have asked him how he felt about the purge at the Pentagon.  I wondered if he was comfortable with a military leadership composed of a Fox News goon and a band of Trumpist sycophants.  I wondered if he was comfortable with three service Judge Advocates General being given the ax for no reason.  Are war crimes being planned in the Oval Office and they just don’t want to hear “no”?

Our new BFF is none other than the very masculine alpha male Mr. Vladimir Putin.  He plans to destroy the United States, but I hear he is charming at cocktail parties.  We’ve abandoned and betrayed our allies around the globe,  launched a trade war against Mexico and China, announced our intention to seize Panama, Greenland and Gaza, and promoted a neo-Nazi political party in Germany.  I was going to ask Jim whether all the hustle and bustle at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue concerned him.  Also not in a Susan Collins kind of way.

Some people are just ornery and get up in the morning hell-bent on making someone else’s life more difficult.  That’s why the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief, or PEPFAR, the anti-HIV/AIDS agency, is on the chopping block.  That agency has saved 25 million people, mostly babies.  Of course those people are poor and black but still Jim . . . why are you so grumpy?  Is Jim just ornery and mean with a bee in his bonnet?  If so, he may join Trump in hastening the end of the Affordable Care Act, which now provides health insurance for 24 million griping, ungrateful Americans.

So I called Jim’s office in Washington.  You can too!  Simply dial 1 (202) 224-3121.  A polite young lady will answer and direct your call lickety-split to Jim’s office.  In no time a bright and eager staff member will take your message (Jim will be unavailable) and direct it with haste to the desk of Representative Jim Moylan (R-GU).

So call 1 (202) 224-3121 and do so often!  I’ll call today and ask if Yellowstone National Park will be closed this Summer because Elon fired all the park rangers.  The following day I’ll call 1 (202) 224-3121 and ask whether there is an anti-dote for the covid vaccine I took three years ago.  Sure it saved my life but still . . . .  Also what’s up with the Mexican narco-gangs attacking Disneyland?  Jim will know for sure.
