BREAKING NEWS: Inmate with 20-year rap sheet accused of murdering convicted murderer Cesar Dizon


 
Guam Department of Corrections inmate MB Koto has been booked and reconfined on allegations he murdered longtime inmate Cesar Dizon.
 
“Mr. Dizon was admitted into DepCor on 9/30/98 and was convicted of Murder in the First Degree and serving a life sentence with parole,” DOC Major Antone Aguon said in a statement.
 
Mr. Dizon is the 69-year-old man, who was rushed to Naval Hospital Sunday night and pronounced dead there after a guard found him injured and unresponsive in the prison’s Post 24.

Mr. Koto has been reconfined on allegations of aggravated murder, 10 counts of second-degree aggravated assault, 10 counts of use of a deadly weapon in the commission of a felony, assault, and promoting prison contraband.
 
The prison is on lockdown.
 
This is Mr. Koto’s ninth case that has landed him in confinement. The 38-year-old has been in and out of prison since 2003 for a variety of violent crimes, according to public records.
Mr. Dizon was convicted in 1998 of murdering his wife’s divorce attorney, Jan Rubinstein. Ms. Rubinstein was shot in the back of the head as she was making her way up to her law office in Hagatna.
