Sgt. 1st Class Retired Clay Elicio retired at a ceremony at the National Guard readiness Complex in Barrigada on Aug. 17, after 22 years of faithful service.
“I said I wouldn’t get emotional, but it’s hard when you have someone who’s always been there for you through thick and thin. There’s always one person to be most thankful for, for everything. I couldn’t do this without my wife. For all she had to endure through all the deployments, long drill weekends and all the headaches, I thank her and will always continue to thank her,” said Elicio.
