Courtroom quotes about the attorney general of Guam

The AG says he’s doing his job. But here’s what Presiding Judge Alberto Lamorena III says on the record in court about the AG’s actual performance in the criminal justice system

The following are the actual words Judge Lamorena spoke in court hearings directed to the Office of the Attorney General of Guam that occurred between Friday, April 1, and Friday April 8, 2022:

“If I have to wait for the AG, I’ll have over 2,000 cases by the end of the year.”

“I’m tired of lecturing you people.”

“I don’t know if the attorney general is listening, but Mr. Lee, maybe you can do that in other court rooms but not here.”

“You guys are not doing your job.”

“I’ll hate to lock you people up for slowness.”

“Again, another example of … by the attorney general; you file all these complaints and you don’t review it. You go through these papers like toilet paper.”

“Call another attorney to help you. You’re delaying my hearing. Why haven’t you sent over the plea?”

“These are old cases. If you guys are not ready we’ll move on. These are cases I want to get rid of.”

“Can we just hold off your horses?”

Tell us again, Attorney General Leevin Camacho, how great of a job you’re doing?

Alberto Lamorena has as much credibility as Jack Abramoff. He should have been removed in the 2000s.

  • It us unfortunate that this judge is not on Saipan and could take a close look and scrutinize the Saipan AG office. He would find the AG on the golf course majority of the time.
