The U.S. Attorney for Guam and the CNMI has filed three criminal cases and eight civil cases at one time under seal in the U.S. District Court of the CNMI. These cases were filed and simultaneously sealed last week.
This means the public is unable to see who these cases are against, whether anyone has been arrested, and what the charges are in these cases.
The criminal cases follow one multi-pronged case involving the alleged illegal transport of Chinese citizens from Saipan to Guam. The first indictment in that case was filed on January 22.
This is a story we will monitor.
