(Office of the Governor of Guam)–On January 29, 2024, the Department of Revenue and Taxation began accepting TY 2023 tax return filings.
Three (3) weeks TO THE DAY, on February 19, 2024, the Department of Revenue & Taxation processed and the Department of Administration mailed checks or paid by direct deposit 7,632 Individual Tax (1040) refund payments totaling $25,180,278 for Tax Year 2023 and prior error-free returns filed on, or before, January 29, 2024.
Individual Tax refunds paid this week total 9,145, of which 7,246 (79%) were for Early Filers for Tax Year 2023.
A grand total of $34,414,273.53 refund payments have been processed in FY 2024.
Refunds will continue to be paid weekly; however, due to the volume of early filers for Tax Year 2023, payment turnaround time will begin to fluctuate to between 3 to 6 WEEKS.
NOTE: Individuals receiving payment by direct deposits will see a $0 transaction in their bank account prior to receiving their refunds ( -note).
