Democratic congressional candidate Ginger Cruz leads incumbent Republican Jim Moylan in the first and only publicly available statistical poll. That same poll shows a tight race for control of the Guam Legislature, with Democrats keeping a slim 8-7 majority in the 15-member unicameral chamber.
The results of the poll – overseen by longtime political analyst and pollster Ron McNinch – suggest that if the General Election were held last week, Ms. Cruz would have been elected by a significant 54 percent to 46 percent majority, and that two non-incumbent legislative candidates will force out two incumbents.
