Governor Torres subpoenaed to appear Friday to answer to corruption allegations


CNMI Gov. Ralph Torres has been served a subpoena from the Commonwealth Legislature to appear before the House Judiciary and Governmental Operations Committee and answer to allegations of corruption against him.

According to the subpoena, Mr. Torres must appear in the House chamber at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, December 10, 2021.

It is unclear whether first lady Diann Torres also has been served her subpoena.

  • They should bring Diann (and her attorney) in and keep her and lawyer isolated in another room until this Gov. finished his testimony THEN put Diann on the stand to compare answers.
