Lou Leon Guerrero’s spokeswoman, Krystal Paco-San Agustin, released a statement in reaction to the recent uptick in police brutality claims. The statement follows:

“Every law enforcement officer must reflect the best values of our island and people. While it would be inappropriate to comment on any specific case, the Governor and Lieutenant Governor remain committed to the hundreds of law enforcement officers who do it right each day.

“It is absolutely essential that those who serve and protect our community uphold the highest standards of professionalism and compassion. Every individual, regardless of their background or circumstances, deserves to feel safe and secure in their interactions with law enforcement.

“We are concerned about recent allegations. As a man of integrity, our administration trusts the Chief of Police will conduct a fair, factual investigation.

“As we move forward, we remain committed to fostering a culture of trust, respect, and justice within our law enforcement agencies. We encourage members of the community to come forward with any concerns or complaints they may have, as their voices are vital in holding our police force to the highest standards.”

  • When will the people learn! These corrupt politicians and their corrupt cronies don’t give a crap about the average citizens! They lie about everything. This is like the fox guarding the hen house! Really! Are we that stupid? Govguam is nothing more than an organized crime syndicate

    • Preach! Since we had a certain Governor in office, that same Governor created a path for Governors after him to increase their pocket sizes while the people live off “federal funds”
