GovGuam paychecks may be late this week

(Department of Administration)–The Department of Administration (DOA) advises that the AS400 suffered a critical system error processing payroll that may cause a delay in the processing and issuance of payroll on Friday, January 5, 2024. The exact cause of the error is unknown, but the agency remains focused on delivering payroll as timely as possible. When employees receive payroll is dependent on their individual financial institution. Some GovGuam employees may receive payroll based on their previous payroll amount by tomorrow and others by Monday. More than enough cash is on hand to meet this obligation.

The AS400 is the antiquated financial legacy system used by GovGuam for decades. Fortunately, DOA is preparing to launch its new Financial Management Information System (FMIS). The new system will allow data to be backed up regularly, preserving newly keyed or imported system data and preventing similar issues and delays in processing payroll.

DOA will provide updates as they become available.
Employees with issues may contact the DOA Payroll Department at 671-475-1292.
