HAFADAZE and sponsors bring more than 350 Christmas gifts to Yigo kids

Hundreds of public school students from Yigo – one of the poorest villages in Guam – received Christmas gifts because of the charity of generous business people, and patrons of the Cars & Boba 2023 event that took place December 3, 2023.

The event attracted scores of car enthusiasts who contributed Christmas gifts that benefitted Simon Sanchez High School’s Yuletide for Yigo program. That program had a goal to deliver a Christmas gift to every student at Yigo’s Upi, D.L. Perez, and Machananao Elementary schools.

Hafatea, AGJ Imports, and HAFADAZE presented the event. It was sponsored by Guam Military Auto Enthusiasts, Filth Mobile Detailing Co., TunerCulture, CAMM Sports, W5 Productions, Guahan Soldier, and Veterans for Life.

“We were able to collect over 350 gifts during the three-hour event,” organizer HAFADAZE’s Juanito Serrano, Jr. said. “Sixty gifts were assigned to Upi’s Kinderbots students and the rest were given to SSHS’s Yuletide for Yigo committee to be distributed to Yigo’s elementary schools.”

Last Tuesday, the organizers along with Dwayne San Nicolas dressed as Santa Claus and elves with their monster and sports cars delivered the gifts to some very joyous students.
