Henry Taitano takes helm of the Guam Daily Post

Core Tech International senior executive Henry Taitano is now in charge of the Guam Daily Post. CTI chairman Ho Eun appointed his trusted advisor Tuesday.

CTI acquired the Post in 2015, when the daily newspaper was known as the Marianas Variety Guam. Mr. Taitano was a key player in the acquisition from Younis Art Studio in Saipan.

Mr. Taitano is a longtime businessman and senior economic advisor to former Gov. Eddie Calvo. He also served as administrator of the Guam Economic Development Authority.

The Mongmong native was instrumental in the financing strategy that solved the island’s decades-old tax refunds problem.
