Invest 94W captures concern and attention of National Weather Service

Invest 94W, a tropical disturbance south of the Mariana Islands, will cause heavier rainfall and weather conditions later this week, according to National Weather Service Guam chief meteorologist Landon Aydlett. That weather system, though largely unorganized at this point, is the focus of his attention.

“[This is] something we are watching closely,” Mr. Aydlett said. “And for sure, impacts will include showers, locally heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and gusty winds mid- to late week.”

Just how much weather, and how strong this disturbance will be depends on its development over the next 24 to 36 hours, he said.

“That’s our primary threat in the week ahead,” he said. “It’s large, poorly organized and slow to consolidate around a low level circulation center. That’s good for us in the near term.”

Thank you for updating and informing us about any storms. I do trust what you tell us about storms in our region. You predicted about Super Typhoon Mawar exactly how it would hit us you’re prediction was so right. Thank you once again and God Bless
