John F. Kennedy High School AFJROTC Students and Instructors “Exceed Standards” for Formal Unit Evaluation

The Guam Department of Education (GDOE) proudly announces that the Air Force Junior ROTC instructors and Islander cadets of John F. Kennedy High School (JFKHS) recently earned an overall unit assessment score of “Exceeds Standards” – the highest rating attainable – during their unit evaluation on Tuesday, March 21, 2023.

Lieutenant Colono (Retired) Sharon Williams, Senior Master Sergeant (Retired) Victor Rosario, and Master Sergeant (Retired) Joseph A. Mafnas have created a dynamic and supportive learning environment coupled with excellent community outreach.  These instructors have provided outstanding leadership in administering this cadet-centered citizenship program.  The JFKHS cadets have performed exceptionally well and take great pride in leading and accomplishing their unit goals.

At the time of evaluation, cadets have served over 4800 hours of community service, helping other school organizations, as well as the local community in various service-learning events. The John F. Kennedy High School Air Force Junior ROTC citizenship program is making a positive impact on cadets, the school, and the island community.
