Palacios-Apatang cabinet undergo ethics training

This morning, the newly-appointed cabinet members participated in a training event focused on the Government Ethics Act. The training was facilitated by Ashley Kost of the Office of the Public Auditor (OPA).

The training included discussion on prohibited political activities, gifts and gratuities, complaints and ethics violations, and conflicts of interest.

Also discussed were restrictions and internal policies that would supplement and improve upon government employee ethics and promote the best interests of the Commonwealth.

The Office of the Public Auditor is an independent agency of the Commonwealth Government tasked with the responsibility to audit the receipt, possession, and disbursement of public funds and to perform such other duties as required by law.
