Ready H2GO, Guahan Waste, and LMS donate to people in need

The following is from a news release from a group of companies and the Micronesia Climate Change Alliance:

Ready H2GO,  Guahan Waste Control (GWC), and Landscape Management System, Inc. (LMS Guam) have come together in an act of solidarity to assist the Micronesia Climate Change Alliance, a local NGO (non-governmental organization) dedicated to climate change action and building resilience. [Last week marked] the first in a series of community activations in their collaboration as the business group donated over 300 cases of clean, safe bottled water. The water was included with hygiene kits distributed across communities in Guahan most affected by the devastation of Typhoon Mawar. Over 160 plus families were served in today’s activation. More cases of water and a 500-gallon water tank of clean, safe water will be made available in activations planned next week.

At the core of Ready H2GO’s operations lies their 30,000 Sq. foot cutting-edge facility, which incorporates three distinct filtration methods—Reverse Osmosis, Carbon Filtration, and Ultraviolet Technology. These advanced techniques ensure that the water and ice is crystal clear, meeting the highest standards of excellence. This recognition is reinforced by the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the United States Environmental Protection Agency, which have designated safe drinking water systems as a vital component of a community’s critical infrastructure.

Ready H2GO,  GWC, and LMS Guam, alongside the Micronesia Climate Change Alliance team, recognize the pivotal role of clean water in climate change adaptation, serving as the crucial link between our community and the environment. It is this shared understanding that drives their unwavering commitment to serve and safeguard the well-being of Guam’s residents, particularly those in underserved areas disproportionately affected by climate-related challenges.

Today’s activation included wellness checks and community needs assessments of the area’s long-term/short-term needs, distribution of cases of Ready H2GO water bottled water, and the distribution of hygiene kits that included toothbrush kits from Gentle Care Dental, mosquito repellent, cleaning spray, coconut scrubbers from Numa’lo refillery, a $20 gift certificate for food and hygiene products from Payless, and handmade body soap bars from Lole’ Handmade Guam. Translation and language justice services were provided to the residents by the community-based organization, Kuchu. Kuchu is named after an island in the State of Chuuk, in the Federated States of Micronesia.

Ready H2GO and Ready Ice are pleased to announce the expanded availability of their products at convenient locations throughout the island. Circle K and 76 Stations, Cost U Less, Seven Day Supermarkets, and Payless Supermarkets, proudly offer the products provided by Ready H2GO and Ready Ice, ensuring clean and safe drinking water and ice is accessible to all.
