Rosaries, funeral announcement, and police information on murdered veteran Jason Susuico

Our condolences to our dear friend, Tomas Calvo, on the death of his brother; and to all of Jason Susuico’s family and loved ones. Posted here is the schedule of his rosaries and funeral, all to be held at Mt. Carmel Church in Agat.

The following is the only information the Guam Police Department is sharing at this time:

On Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at approximately 5:00AM, a pair of hunters were hunting along the jungle line near the Guam Raceway Park in Pagat, Mangilao when they discovered a lifeless body. They contacted a Conservation Officer with the Department of Agriculture, who upon confirming a body was at the location, notified the Guam Police Department. Patrol officers responded and confirmed the body to be human.

CIS Detectives were activated and assumed investigative control of the case. The investigation revealed that the body of a badly decomposed male was found to have been discovered on Chamorro Land Trust property in the area by the Guam Raceway Park.

When the body was checked, an identification card was located on the body, which tentatively identified the decedent as Jason Quintanilla Susuico. Susuico is known to the members of law enforcement, however, a comparison field identification could not be conducted due to the advanced stage of decomposition.

Further check of the body revealed a tattoo on the decendent. A records check revealed that a prior photo on file of Susuico’s tattoo matched that of the deceased. After on-scene processing was completed, the decedent was transported to the Chief Medical Examiner’s Office pending examination by Dr. Jeffrey Nine.

On Thursday morning, January 26, 2023, an autopsy was conducted by Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Nine. At the conclusion of the autopsy, Dr. Nine revealed the cause of death to be Blunt Force Trauma and the manner of death to be Homicide.
