Longtime journalist and KUAM news director Sabrina Salas Matanane will be pursuing “political aspirations,” according to a KUAM news release today.
The announcement comes on the eve of a scheduled political announcement by Congressman Michael San Nicolas. Speculation is swirling Mr. San Nicolas has teamed up with Ms. Matanane for an Adelup run.

The utmost consideration of any candidate for Governor is to always contemplate the unexpected. The very position of the Lt. Governor is not just for window dressing, or question of gender equity, should something happen to our Governor; God forbid, the Lt. Governor is competent and politically savvy and astute to carry on.
