Some heroes give their slippers to lost little girls

Meet Cina Raken (left) and her sister Rakly Raken of Liguan Terrace, Dededo, Guam. This morning the 5-year-old little girl in the picture with Raken was wandering around their neighborhood barefoot. They spent an hour when they first found her knocking on doors to find her home. Then they called police, and an hour later – with the help of an officer – they found the girl’s parents, who were asleep when their daughter got out of the house.

Cina was two hours late for work. She and her sister got the little girl juice and bought her food from McDonald’s. And they gave her one of their pairs of slippers to wear.

Our politics in Guam may be ugly, but our people are beautiful, just like Cina, Rakly, and the police officer who helped them.

  • It is so wonderful to read articles like this. In todays world it seems all you see in the news is children being molested or killed. Beautiful and I am thankful that there are people that care and took care of this child. Best regards to the two HEROES.
