Storm may be coming to Guam and/or the CNMI between Monday and Wednesday

National Weather Service says to keep a close eye on this one

Landon Aydlett, meteorologist from the US National Weather Service Guam, provides the following update on the impending storm:

As of 19 May 2023 – 7:30 am ChST

TROPICAL CYCLONE FORMATION ALERT

The Joint Typhoon Warning Center has upgraded Invest 97W to a tropical cyclone formation alert, meaning that development into a significant tropical cyclone (tropical depression or greater) is likely within the next 24 hours.

Prognosis remains unchanged for the FSM with heavy weather expected the next few days.

For the Marianas: WATCH THIS CLOSELY!

Guam and the CNMI may be in the cross hairs for a passage between Monday and Wednesday. Intensities are speculative but a high probability of a tropical storm force system pushing through. Possibly stronger; that’s to be determined.

This will be an evolving scenario as tropical events typically are. Guam and CNMI will need to keep a very close watch in the coming days as things evolve.

    • Drug addiction is a psychiatric condition and should be treated as such. I have a federal conviction for drugs and I’m still a contributing member of society. You should know better especially if you live here.
