Tax refunds: Did you file by February 10?


You may want to check the mail or your bank account if you filed for a tax refund on or before February 10, 2022. The following is news from the Office of the Governor of Guam:

On March 24, 2022, the Department of Revenue & Taxation processed 2,535 Tax Year 2021 and prior income tax refunds, which the Department of Administration has since mailed, or paid by direct deposit. Total income tax refunds paid is $8,279,686.97 for 2,535 error-free returns filed on, or before, February 10, 2022.

The standing goal is that all error-free tax returns will be paid within one month, to no more than six (6) weeks, from the date of filing.

NOTE: Individuals receiving payment by direct deposit will see a $0 transaction in their bank account prior to receiving their refunds (pre-note).
