The Boka Box launches cooking program for kids

The following is a news release from The Boka Box:

Boka Box, Guam’s leading meal prep service, is excited to announce the launch of its innovative cooking program, “Kusinan Patgon”. The program, designed for kids aged 8-15, aims to nurture a new generation of food enthusiasts by teaching them how to prepare nutritious and delicious meals.

The Kusinan Patgon Program is scheduled to begin on July 31, 2023, with two-week-long sessions commencing every other Monday. Each session will host a maximum of 10 participants, ensuring an intimate, engaging and hands-on learning experience.

Boka Box owner, Jesse Rosario, is spearheading this initiative. “Kusinan Patgon is more than just a cooking program. It’s about building self-confidence, fostering creativity, and developing a lifelong love for healthy food,” he shared. “We believe that understanding the fundamentals of cooking and nutrition is a vital skill that can greatly contribute to a child’s well-being and independence.”

The program is designed to provide a comprehensive culinary experience for kids, combining both practical and theoretical knowledge of cooking and nutrition. Participants will get the chance to learn various cooking techniques, understand the nutritional value of different ingredients, and be encouraged to experiment with flavors and textures.

To register for the Kusinan Patgon Program, parents are invited to visit the Boka Box cafe in Hagatna.
