Umitde volleyball team adopts, improves bus stop

A team of volleyball players named Umitde adopted the school bus stop near Nana Store in Agana Heights and has been improving it.

The volleyball club practices at the Agana Heights gymnasium and wanted to give back to the community that has supported their athleticism. Like many other sports teams around the island, Umitde does not have the privilege of government and nonprofit sports organization support. Yet, the team has paid out of pocket for the supplies and equipment they have been using to spruce up the bus stop.

The team first volunteered for the project by water blasting the bus stop on Sunday, July 28. Last weekend the team went back to paint the bus stop. This weekend they will complete their project with final touches.
